Redefining Heritage Through Experiences

In today’s world, balancing the wisdom of the East with the innovation of the West allows us to bring together the best of both. Through workshops, events, and authentic travel experiences in India, we aim to create opportunities to experience traditional culture in contemporary ways.
We are Param and Amruta, a passionate couple redefining heritage and cultural experiences. Life is about the stories we share, the connections we make, and the spaces we create to embrace our unique selves.
Our goal is to help people understand heritage—distinguishing it from societal culture that has evolved over time—and present it in a modern, accessible context. By keeping culture relevant to today, we believe in preserving and carrying it forward for future generations. Culture is shaped by people, and together, we can create its future.

Meet Amruta Panth Pandya
Amruta, born and raised in America, was always drawn to Indian culture and its rich traditions. Her passion for movement led her to train in Bharatanatyam and other dance forms during high school and college. Growing up as an Indian American, she often grappled with balancing her deep connection to her roots while keeping up with American pop culture. Initially feeling like an outsider even among Indian Americans due to her Tanjavur Marathi heritage, she struggled with cultural nuances on trips to India. However, a month-long visit after high school transformed her perspective, allowing her to embrace India as an extension of herself. While she had paused Bharatanatyam out of concern that it wouldn’t be valued in college, her marketing courses and exposure to Western dance reignited her passion for Indian classical dance. She returned to performing, training, and teaching, ultimately deepening her understanding of movement therapy and the mind-body connection.
Post-college, Amruta worked as a Management Analyst but soon realized her true calling lay elsewhere. In 2018, she launched Meri Sanskriti, initially a blog exploring the balance between Indian heritage and Western influences, which later evolved into an online academy offering cultural education. By 2022, these classes expanded into broader initiatives aimed at fostering cultural connection across demographics. In addition to her work with Meri Sanskriti, Amruta is a Movement Therapy Professional and the 2020 titleholder of Miss Indian Diva.
She is passionate about empowering individuals, promoting self-care and fitness within the South Asian community, and encouraging women to embrace their femininity. To address the underrepresentation of her heritage, she also founded an Instagram community for Tanjavur Maharashtrians, creating the representation she once longed for.

Meet Param Pandya
Param was born and raised in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where he developed a deep curiosity for heritage and history from a young age. A natural storyteller, he was always drawn to understanding the cultural depths of his surroundings. Though he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, he soon realized that his true passion lay elsewhere. At the time, he did not anticipate how his scientific background would later contribute to his work in heritage conservation. Determined to follow his interests, he went on to earn a Master’s degree in Heritage Management from Ahmedabad, a decision that would set the foundation for his extensive contributions to the field.
Since then, Param has worked extensively on heritage preservation, raising awareness and conserving India’s cultural legacy. He began his career with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, playing a key role in restoring historic sites after Ahmedabad became India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City.
Over the years, he has collaborated with international organizations, foreign delegates, and leading Indian heritage institutions. As a Textile Expert, he leads a two-month Pan-India expedition for a UK-based textile company, documenting traditional practices. Recognized as a Miniature Painting Expert by the President of an Australian Art Association, he also leads excavations for diplomats and high commission officers. Additionally, he works with archaeologists and town planners to restore heritage buildings, ensuring India’s history is preserved for future generations.
